I struggled with low self-esteem throughout my teenage years, and food became the only thing that I felt I was in control of. I was stuck in a cycle of food restriction and exercising for the wrong reasons, and felt guilty every time I stepped out of what I considered to be a healthy diet. My headspace was taken over by food and weight thoughts. Learning about nutrition, working on my self-limiting beliefs and exercising in order to get physically and mentally stronger, helped me transform my relationship with food and my body.
At first I was too self-critical to ask for support, but once I did, it changed the way I perceived myself, helped me realise that I have a lot more to offer, and I learned how to love myself.
As a result of my strong psychological background I am able to draw tools and techniques from different fields of psychology, including neuroscience, cognitive and behavioural therapy, positive psychology, and transactional analysis, to help you transform your life.
My main areas of interest are disordered eating, weight management, stress management, building confidence, career change, and emotional resilience.
As a Coach I believe that you have the resources and skills to change. I can help you better understand yourself, and motivate you to change the things that are holding you back from achieving your goals. I provide a safe and confidential space to talk about your life. Together we can explore the issues that keep you stuck in the present, and build a pathway to a healthier and happier you.
Coaching is not a quick fix, and it requires effort, time and motivation. However, with the right balance of challenge and support you will be able to grow and move forwards.
