How to Create a Healthy Gut?

So what creates a healthy gut? What causes us to have an unhealthy gut? What can you do to create a healthy gut?

Did you know that there are more than 25 different conditions all relating to the digestive system. Some may not last long. However some are long lasting, life changing and need proper advice and support to help manage a condition.

For example, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Crohn’s disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Coeliac Disease, Diverticulitus to name but a few.

Our gut flora is home to trillions of microorganisms - it contains 10 times more bacteria than all the human cells in the entire body.

Modern lifestyles can contribute to an unhealthy gut:-

Antibiotics and other medications like birth control

Diets high in refined carbohydrates eg sugar and processed foods

Diets low in fibre

Chronic stress

Chronic infections

Eat plenty of fermentable fibres in your diet
